The challenge
The Ethiopian calendar has 13 months, its own clock and its own holidays and fasts. The Habesha community needed one app that keeps Ethiopian and Gregorian dates, time, holidays and events together — accurately, and in their language.
Our approach
- 01Correct by construction: 12 months of 30 days plus Pagume, Ge'ez numerals, and Ethiopian time counted from sunrise.
- 02Everything in one place: converter, clock, holidays, Orthodox fasts, Islamic prayer times and events with reminders.
- 03Made for daily use: widgets, 14 languages, light/dark themes and shareable holiday wish cards.
